Elizabeth Taylor was made for “Passion”, a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor exhibition at Go Gallery Amsterdam (@gogalleryamsterdam) and Kimpton de Witt Hotel (@kimptondewitt). The exhibition is on display until August 21.
The artwork has two “layers”. The first layer inside the frame, the background, is made out of official "Danish Building Bricks". The artist has chosen to paint these bricks black. The reason behind this is, so from far away the bricks would not disrupt the image of Taylor, but up close the viewer can see each individual brick. The second layer, the image of Elizabeth Taylor, is stencilled (3 layers) with spray paint on 2mm thick glass. The artwork is hand-signed, numbered and dated by the artist. Comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
